Welcome to Providence Center!

Providence Center has been providing joy and hope to the Fairhill section of Philadelphia through educational programming since 1993. While we welcome the entire community, most of our students come from Fairhill’s substantial Puerto Rican and Latino population. Though our community has the highest poverty rate in Philadelphia, we are committed to helping hard-working families embrace futures filled with hope and opportunity. Join us, and be part of something truly meaningful!

Help us spread hope and joy through education!

Our Programs

Children

Afterschool program fostering resilience in children grades K-8.

Teens

Teen programming to build leadership and prepare for the future.

Adults

English classes and linkages to community resources to help adults build better lives for themselves and their families.

Community

Community events, resources, and support to strengthen our neighborhood.

In late 2022, Providence Center partnered with Schultz & Williams to embark on strategic planning to establish opportunities and priorities to guide the center over the next two years. We proudly share our findings in the presentation linked with our stakeholders. This presentation was finalized in July of 2023. This is the first strategic plan Providence Center has developed with the support of outside consultants in 30 years. The data collected for this project included the voices of adult and youth students, board members, staff, community members, parents, and funders.
